Of this week and next..

THis week went past like a breeze sia.. Means I'm getting closer to my deadline for the voting system. (Oh no!) Anyway, this weeks' been rather ok I should say. Other then the fact that Janice is leaving. She's this lady from another dept. Worked there less den 1 yr and leaving liao. She even found another job already.

Fri was her last day, and we had a farewell lunch.

Saturday was a pretty cool day. It was the 6th SICC Charity Swimming Carnival thingy n I was on duty in the morning lo. Jus walked around and see if the games stall pple needed my help. The rain did help me slack heh heh.. The rain in de morning allowed me to slack in the pool recep office since the games were mostly outdoors and the thunderstorm was SO big that everybody stayed indoors. So the games were like isolated for about 1hr. And the thingy started late. But i also did more den my share lo. Had to go ard put posters, den was called to help anyone who needed help since I din have much to do.

But I had to walk to the main road frm the club cos I missed the bus and it was getting late liao. Wanted to get out of the place and meet Steffan asap. So I chose to walk. The walk's rather ok cos the weather was rather cooling. But now my legs are aching like hell cos I din get to sit the whole day for close to 5hrs. And I jus kept walking around cos I din want to look like i got nothing to do or slacking. THink I did pretty well heh..

Tml's back's to work. THink I understanding how the Visual Studio works liao hope I can make more progress this week. Thurs is the grooming thingy lo. N boss gotta put me in the session with all the HODs! Haizz... Its gonna be real boring..

Dun noe wat will happen at work tml sia.. ANd wonder when I can get my pay muahaha.

Keeping track of my finances now that I getting my pay. Realised have to pay off alot of things.. Haizz

Looking forward to National Day. Cos my family will be going to Pariss International Buffet at Marina Square! Heh.. Booked a table already, by the window so that we can see the planes and the fireworks from our seats heehee.

Time to plan for retirement

Today kena another arrow by boss la. Now the eVoting system is like due in abt 3 weeks' time when I almost totally din touch it la! And my keyboard still not up yet.. Haizz.. I seriously think its a small problem only, but I havent been able to think of anything to help me.. Darn! Been the only thing I havent been able to do.

Met D today after work. And he shared with me a few investment thingy, which is quite interesting lo. And very tempting too I should say. And its something I really considering since now i still young, should take a 'gamble' with my money and earn more in future.. N i think i can trust D enough lo. He have a lot of clientale to prove his track record liao.. Herm.. Jus that now I dun have such a big lump sum.. Mebbe I shall save up these few months and make my own decisions hee.. Thinking of asking Steffan to invest too heehee.. so both of us can have money rolling in few years down the road.

Now that I gonna get some real pay soon, I think i better start planning for my retirement haha.

Today was really a special day. Cant really say how special it is, but things were really nice today.

Spent the morning at home slping until noon time! Hee.. Until I naturally woke up, which is very rare! And I finally can slp until noon. Had lunch, and spent the early afternoon at Steffan's place doing our stuff heehee... Was really a sweet afternoon. After that, we went to toa payoh Clubfit gym for our workout. Frist time I went gym with Steffan heee.. And on a Sunday some more. The indoor sports hall was filled with pple doing the teakwando grading or something like that.. Jus that there are alot of pple. But the gym was rather deserted. N i got my personal trainer! Haha.. Felt alot better after the workout hee.. Will most probably make it our weekly workout hee.. Now my tights feeing a bit sore. I wonder how it will be tml. After the workout, I had great difficulty walking down stairs sia. Now its alot better liao. My arms also aching liao. Hope I dun have to limp to work tml ha..

After going to gym, Steffan went to QBHouse to cut his hair. First day back to sch tml. Then we went down to the photo studio to ask the pricing for the family portraits. The price rather reasonable I should say. N seeing the ah pek's skill, like quite worth it.. Some more its near our place. Shall wait for my parents to decide ba. Cos not really sure who's paying for it yet hahah...

Den we went to rent a DVD from the Play! machine at toa payoh central. Heard frm my colleagues that Hide and Seek was a really good suspense thriller so went to rent it, even though it costs $4.50. There is a lower rate for some shows which costs $3.95 but, decided to stick to the movie, and both of us became rather freaked after watching the show. I really love the twist at the end of the show!! N the picture at the end of the show really set pple thinking. I could even see Steffan's hairs stand at the end of the show. Haha.. It was really worth the money sia! The show's really good!

It was dinner with my parents tonight hee went to bedok for the famous bak chor mee. ANd waited like really long cos only one stall was opened only. Hee.. Really happy. Had a great dinner too hee..

But sian that tml gotta go back to work.. Haizz.. Really miss my weekends. Next sat still got duty for some swimming carnival thing. Which means that my Saturday next week will be spent walking ard. Dun even noe wat i really suppose to do haha.

Suggested to bring my parents to Pariss International Buffet for celebration of my graduation and also cos there got something special! Heehee.. Looking forward to it. Hope my special works! Hee...

Aiya late liao. Tml gotta work.. Haizz.. havent slove my problem yet.. darn.. hope can find solution else will have to work late some more liao..

In darkness

Now sittig in office in pitch darkness haha. Cos For dun noe wat reasons, there's no light in the whole floor in our building. Went to on all the monitors to light up the room more, so can see better, and hopefully when my colleagues come they will be guided by the light to the door.. Haizz.. 2nd time this has happened. Now waiting for my colleagues to come in ha. Sure gonna frighten somebody real soon haha.

Been given new responsibilities when I just stepped into office lo. Other then the kiosk, I've gotta b the co-ordinator for some new system they are going to implement across the board. Other then the fact I have to work with MC, which is fine by me, but i also have to work with the vendors, and the representatives from the other departments. Meaning, I have to sit in their meetings and take notes lo. Which means I cant do my things and have to pay attention to tghe pple talking la. And to make thigns worse, I just had my whole day of meeting yesterday! So the things I planned to do were SO totally postponed. AND!!!! GO HAS to add in more thnigs to the kiosk and make changes to it. Making the thing NEVER finished la!!! IDIOT!! I dun mind making the changes, but i getting a bit sick of it liao leh. FAcing the codes same codes everytime lo... Haizz...

Now lights' back heh.. shall do my stuff now..

Counting the days, Steffan and I have been together for 6 months liao. To be exact, Tuesday was the actual date.

But today was more special! Cos we actually went to shop for a ring. And its not a simple ring, but we would like to call it the engagement ring. We're not going have a big ceremony or wat to say we are getting engaged, but its just like a couple ring hee..

Spent time looking for a jacket to wear for work lo. Now G2000 has like 50-40% discount. So went to look and found something decent. But I think my salary frm last month will not last me till end of month ha. Have to scrimp a bit liao. But I would need the clothes anyway lo. N month end coming soon liao hee...

After that Steffan brought me to Lee Hwa, to look at the rings lo. Haha.. Ended up buying in Toa Payoh Lee Hwa cos the person was a lot nicer, and there was something we liked. It looks VERY nice lo hee. Jus that it cost a bit la. And the best part is that pple buy those for wedding one but he buy for engagement. Market spoiler sia haha. After ring shopping we went to his house for dinner. Hee.. his dad made steak and minestrone soup leh!! VERY YUMMY lo! After dinner, I actually went into his parents' room and jus chat with his mum. Keep talking about the cross stitch she did. N she's really an expert on it lo! She got the cloth, all the different strings, now she even making a cross-stitch on their family portrait! And its VERY life-like lo! DEn we talked a bit about make up haha... until it was finally time to go home hahaha..

It was rather fun heehee..

Slacking...

Heh heh.. in office now. Feeling really tired. Racking my brains on how to write my weekly update. Reason being, I did a rather major project. But to make it work, I basically made many changes to alot of small small things la. Like channging the layout of the kiosk. Actually, I did that last week so, i cant write it in this week's update.

And now I'm very stuck. Cos whatever I did for the past few days could be summarised into one line. "Completed Kiosk_newimg". And my report only has 4 lines! Ha.. not that really the numbe rof things u do matters, since boss also knows I have been working cos he can see my progress when i ask him to test the system. Now that the project is in its final stages, (or rather cos its nearing the deadline so nothing else can be done to it) I can afford some time now to do other small things.

Oh, got to make an ad here. I have a temp job that is starting on this coming tuesday. Normal data entry, office hrs, going at $6 per hr. Duration is about 2 months, at my work place lo. So if anyone interested do let me know k? By Sunday the lastest I guess. Already told boss I cant find anybody liao. But I'm sure if I find somebody will make things easier or else they will have to look for agent liao. So if anyone's interested do let me know yeah.

Waiting to knock off so I can meet Steffan later heh.. 1 more hr to go now. Later will have to buy my jacket and see if there are any nice shirts or blouses so I can wear to work. Getting a bit sick of my own wardrobe ha. But having limited clothes means I need not rack my brain to think of wat to wear. Well, shall see if I have enough to last me till the end of the month lo. Still surviving on last month's $600 pay.. Cant wait for this month to end hee.. Den i can get my paycheck!!

Desmond and I were just wasting time chit chatting with each other haha.. Gossiping actually ha.So sian leh. Just to waste time away la.. Cos both of us very bored. Nothng gets done when I work on Saturday. And I got sick of rushing for the Kiosk liao. Cos I keep seeing the same codes over and over again... haizz..

Womdering if I should send boss the 4 line report haha. So pathetic sia ha.

FRIDAY LIAO!

Now I can experience working life sia. Where it feels great that its Friday again. Den again, this Sat I will be working lo. So doesn't make much of a difference ither than the fact I can see my BF later!! Hee.. Today's his last day at Hendon leh! So means that he have one weeks' free day b4 he goes back to sch. So I will have him all to myself for one whole week! Yippee! Heh heh...

Amy took off to Tibet liao.. So envious of her. Go on long holiday. Wonder when will I ever be able to go on long holiday. Keep wanting to bring my parents for a long trip to let them relax and also we can go on a family tour lo. Been ages since we went on long distance for a trip.

Think this weekend we will be going for a buffet meal soon heh.. In celebration for my graduation heehee.. WOnder wat good food we gonna have again liao haha. My dad's super happy sia! Now he can not bother about us liao. Of cos my parents' next wish would be to see my brother attached, den married den have grandchildren lo haha. I wonder when's the day that will come.. I also looking forward to have a sister-in-law leh.

Work's been ok la. THe kiosk is looking better and better liao. But Chris is irritating me more and more lo. Today was the last straw lo. I was helping her explain the reason of her design, i.e, arguing with boss the reason behind why certain buttons on the touch screen is of a certain theme. den she has to repaeat everything boss said lo. And to make things worse, she jus kept agreeing with boss la! I mean its becos SHE gave me this design that I have to explain leh. Den if she knew and understood wat boss wants, den I wouldn't have need to explain anything more liao wat! She would have been able to produce what GO wanted lo. den she at the back there keep explaining, as if she really knows wat boss wants. Den end up everyone a bit irritated den boss brought me out of the office to discuss the thing.

Also, she keep asking me to do a Kiosk flowchart. I mean I did one with all the webpages' name liao lo. Den she ask me if I did one that is of screenshots. I where got time. So I told her mebbe after monday when the thing is done lo. Den she keep telling me den we cannot discuss the button images. I felt like telling her its not my problem la. But i managed to hold my tongue. I mean if its still early, I can still do lo. But monday the thing is due liao lo! And if its as simple as she puts it, den how come she cant do it? Since she is the one that NEEDS the shots to make the buttons. Haizz.. Jus very pissed. Mayb i need help her or this has been how things are done la. last time the pple will give her all the buttons and everything den she just do. But I also realised how out of the loop she is lo. ANd yesterday when Angie came to ask me what headers and button designs I need, she has to join in. So I end up having to explain to her whatever I explained to Angie earlier, and she din understand, making Angie n I, more confused la. In the end, I cant even remember wat Angie asked me.

She still touchy touchy with me when I am so irritated with her! Argh!

Go also not a good egg la. Keep making changes even till now lo. Den havent go thru all the pages yet.. Haizz... Alritey, back to work now ba. Shall do my weekly report tml ba. Do so many small things dun noe wat to write even... Haizz...

Fwah a day when I am home before 7! Got so sick of staring at the same codes and not being able to do anything with it, and decided to leave it all behind and just come home slack.

Commencement 2005!!

10th of July 2005, the day of my commencement ceremony. The day when I finally graduate and get my degree.

N it was REALLY VERY memorable for a simple reason, I was interviewed!!! Hee... I was interviewed for the pre-commencement thingy. Where they showed the thing on the bog tv screen before the commencement started. Steffan and I was just walking around the place when this person approached us to ask if I would like to be interviewed. I thought of rejecting at first, but after some thought, I decided to go for it. Its once in a lifetime opportunity you know. And they only interview like 5 pple. ANd I get to thank my parents on the big screen! So y not?! Hee... And its great that my family were already seated when I was being interviewed. Funny thing being, I cant really remember what I said haha. And even weirder, the presenter who preped me for the interview did not ask me the qns she asked me earlier. So I had to make up answers on the spot! But it was fun! I jus wished I could have watched the interview ha. Lucky my brother took a picture of the big screen with me on it! Ha just so happy! And I have made my graduation UNFORGETTABLE!

After the ceremony, came out and took pictures ha had a really happy day! I guess the main part of the happiness is that I am finally graduating and looking really forward to the next part of my life. Haha.. Now waiting for Steffan's turn! And it will be my turn to pamper him and help him run ard hee.

He actually bought me the graduation bear and laminated my cert! Hee and not to forget him running ard and helping me carry my things. A BIG THANK YOU TO MY DEAR DEAR!!

Now that all the hype has died down, I'm still feeling happy heee... *GRINZ* Now the next step would be to take the family photo at the studio!

Feeling a bit contented and happy that my life is really on track.

Now have to plan to meet up with amy and gang to take photos in our convo gowns! Haha.. It's gonna be SO much fun ha! And that can be a meet up for us too! So we can like gather and find out how each other is doing. :)

Tml's back to work liao.. Shall not have work ruin my happy mood. Hee..

M's not going back to SICC anymore liao! Oh well, as expected la. Dump the shit on other pple la. Shall not be bothered with such pple! Hmphf!

Thinking of taking up some make up courses. For personal make up that is. Will really help to know make up in case an occassion arises. Shall wait for my next pay day to decide heh.

Now waiting for Steffan to bath and call me from camp so I can go slp and get ready for tml. Heh.. Hope not too much OT this week!

Got tickets for all my family members other then Steffan.. Feel so bad.. So he have to end up waiting outside. And he is willing to wait for me lo. He's even gonna come to my house early, help me carry all my things and wait for me outside lo..

Actually I included him in one of the extra cards one.. den din expect my brother to want to go too.. So end up he have to wait outside.. :( And we will be going to sch earlier so that I will be in time for the makeover thingy, and he just helped me pack my things for tml.

He's gonna help me wear my gown and take care of all my things, and help me run ard lo.. So sweet of him... And so silly of me to get so little cards! ARGH!! :( Stupid me!

Well, getting late already. Shall go slp first ba.. Hope the ceremony wont be too long so that Steffan wont have to wait so long...

Was diagnosed with stomach flu when I went to see the doctor today. The nauseous feeling I have been having since I had that staff lunch was jus one of the symptoms.

Went for the interview, n I know I so TOTALLY screwed it. Either I wasn't in the right mindset, or I jus totally am so ignorant. They made me wait to an hour. then when I went in. I din noe wat they were asking me, and I jus anyhow answered la. So confirm wont get liao. Also not bad la. Den I wont have a headache. After I left the interview room, I din even remember wat qns they asked me and what answers I gave them. I just know I blew it la.

So I have to go back to SICC la. Haha.. its not that bad a place also la actually. Just not so happy that I din do well for an interview.

Went to watch Fantastic 4. Its really not bad sia! Hee one of the nice comic-turn-movie. Next on the list will be Sin City I hope.

Got a call when I was in the cinema la! Wah piang they really very bad leh! I on MC den they still call me to do work! Please lo. Can have some heart or not... Whenever other pple on leave nobody calls them also one lo. Decided not to answer the calls after the show started. I only MC one day den cannot do without me liao meh. I'm sure Chris noes how to do it one lo. They really VERY cannot make it la. *IRRITATED*

So I now have a long weekend.. hee.. Sunday will be graduation liao. Ha.. Dun really know wat its about. Hope I can see my frens and take photos! Hee...

I feel exploited!!

Have been home late for the past few days. Actually is since I signed the contract on the 4th of July.

That day itself, I left the office at 6. It was still ok until I left the office yesterday at 9!! Well, partly was becos I wanted to wait for my dad to pick me up so I stayed until he came lo.

And today, I left at 7. And only got home at 8 cos I waited like 20 mins for 163 sia! That's how I ended up home so late lo. Den feeling really tired and sian.. Feel sick actually..

In the office was freezing under my jacket even though I zipped it up and everything. The headache din help either. Long hours of staring at the computer. To make things worse, staying late the past few days have also taken its toil on me la. Boss is like making me stay late almost everyday lo! Furthermore, the nasi lemak for this afternoon staff lunch made my stomach feel funny. Everyone in the office had weird reactions to it...

Down with something now. Feeling unwell, tml going to see doctor take MC liao.. There goes my one day pay sia.

Argh so sick of everything! And I'm putting in SO much over time I dun noe how long I can hang on.. Hope things get better..

Too much good luck may not be that good...

Jus received a call from MOE asking for me to go for an interview this Friday for the internet and intranet executive post. Haizz... And I jus submitted my specimen signature thingy and the transport reimbursement thing la. Damn!

Now got another decision to make liao lo. Decided to go have a go at the interview n see how things goes. But I just hate the feeling of having to decide again if I really do get it.

My colleagues are telling me not to think too much since this is only the first interview, and there would at least be another one coming up. Their encouragement to ask me to keep trying is tempting. And now i still in honeymoon mood la. So the boss has been nice and stuff. I shall go see the place, and see the person in charge of the department and see how things goes from there.. Dun need to think too much first ba. I may not like the environment there. Should take the chance to have more interviews and gain some interview experience heh..

Havent blogged for some time cos I jus cant bear to torture my eyes by fixing them on the laptop when i am home. I'm facing my computer lik every day at work, so when I'm home, I would like to just relax and watch mindless tv.

Feeling kinda excited and surprised that I would be asked for interview. Better still, the lady told me that they did not short list alot of pple for interview which means I stand quite a good chance ha.. Oh well, tried calling her back to confirm the timing but no one's picking up. Must remember call later ha.. Excited...

Finally stepping out of my comfort zone and looking for something on my own ha.. Wah so excited heehee... Not say confirm will get the job la. But still something to look forward to. Some new excitment in life. Just that boss ery poor thing ha. He have to go back to interviewing pple liao ha something he hates the most! Unless I dun get the MOE job though.. Which is highly possible since I cant really remember wat was the requirements they needed haha. And I remembered I couldn't fulfil all the requirements oh well..

Must note down the interview time heh heh..

Now bosster not in. Better still, I have his calender haha. So I noe when to book him for some course learning thingy haizz... ha now no mood to work liao haha.. Wah saying until as if I would get the job. Ok, back to work for me. Still have to do my job as usual in case I dun get the MOE one. Ha.. I having a gut feeling that I may not get it some how...

After Vatican

Went for the Vatican exhibition finally. Heh.. almost went to the wrong one. Lucky asked properly before walking too far off. Heh..

Must say the exhibition is very interesting. Den again, its a bit confusing in a way. But saw alot of things that were mentioned during the World Religions module. So cool sia! Been some time since I went to such a cultural exhibition. ANd better still, there was actually a guided tour! Well, we missed the tour, but Steffan and I managed to catch the last bit. She was at the Christianity side. And I must say she was very captivating.

Had to leave early cos Steffan gotta go back camp. And the journey from TPY to his camp is almost 2 hrs. Cos alot of waiting time and his camp very ulu also.. Haizz..

Now he also have to work on Saturdays. Not all Saturdays, but at least is alternate Saturdays. Now our time to meet has been greatly reduced... And now its even worse. Not to forget his tuition and gym and watnots. Haizz... THen when he is out from camp he's usually like very tired... Dun noe wat to do. Look like its time I have to be independent again and start to find things to do on my own. Like go shopping on my own.. It can also be quite fun to shop by yourself. Cos u can take ur time and no need to rush. Den again, I havent got my pay so no money yet.. sad.. Cant wait for the money to come in sia.

Work''s been ok. I still not that overloaded yet cos boss have been busy with other things, so he nv bother me haha. Den again, there have been progress la. Jus that I getting a bit sick of been doing the same thing. And also cos i have another thing waiting for me, which I wanna get that one settled! Its a super killer lo. Cos the previous person who did it made quite a mess of it. And I gotta make alot of changes to it. I think I mentioned it before. Its the eVoting thing lo. Mebbe I should revamp the whole thing and re-do it. Oh well, shall have to see wat is my timeline for this thing.. Really in a deep pile of shit sia!
