Stuck at home over this weekend cos I am feeling too sian to go out. But I;m also very bored to stay at home.. Sighhzz all the contradiction and dilema...

Down with throat infection, and well, the body's not willing to go out. But the mind's saying that its too great a weekedn to waste. And the body wins! Yesterday went out and almost fainted on the streets. So today better stay at home and recuperate.

Making sure I dont lose my voice.. if not if there are interviews, I wont be able to make it.

Sigh.. the boredom is killing me. And finding nothing to do......

After missing in action for so long, its time I start to my blogging routine again!

Have been so busy these few days. Well, alot hass happened! I shall just take my time to list them down since the office is relatively quiet today.

hmm.. where to start.

New Year eve was spent at H's place counting down with Mahjong tiles haha. Where one person won all 3 others!! Sighzz... Well, we did have our fun slamming the New Year Countdown on Channel 5, and our scare, of the Bangkok bombing. But things still turned out well. :) Special New Year for me.

And 12 Jan 2007 marks the 2nd year anniversary for me and Steffan. Both of us are rather shock we stayed together this long hahaha.. But we're still keeping our fingers cross that we stay that way till the end of our lifes haha. Our form of celebration was a Genting trip with my family! His parents were to come along too, but his dad had to work, and his mum had a cataract operation, and had to rest her eyes. It was a rather fun trip, even though Genting is like so artifical and rip-off. But the weather's real nice and we went to Ripley's believe or not! There are really just the strangest things in the world lo. Too bad my brother's camera conked out.. so no pictures for the trip. Oh, we had our massage at Genting, and saw the freakiest accident happen. there was this glass panel that was mounted on the reception counter, and this guy actually broke the glass by leaning on it! It broke and cut his hand, but I think he still had to pay for it in the end.. And when we were having dinner at Ah Yat, a boy actually banged on the table, and shouted for his dad to shut up. The whole restaurant was jsut stunned sia... Then he walked out with his girlfriend, and left the rest of the family at the restuarant. The family was so embarrassed... And it all happened on the same day! Weird..

And I am nearing the end of my New Year Goodies making class!! Hahaha.. signed up for it, and well, it was very fun! I got to know this gal Sarah, and she's real nice la. Haha.. and very homely type. The type will cook at home one.. Thinking of introducing to my brother haha.. But a bit difficult la haha. Anyhow, next week's the last lesson, and I can put all I learnt into practice!! Steffan say his parents want to give me the oven they have at home haha! Will be so fun heh heh. Thinking if I should join more classes and get to know those aunties. Haha..

But if I'm thinking of job changing, then not only I may not be able to join all those classes, I won't be able to go for the Taiwan trip the gals are planning for this coming April.. Won't have the leave so fast if I join a new company. I just turned down ST, cos I don't really like the industry. The interviewer is really nice and frenly lo. And the pple I see there seems very fun, but sorry la, missle launching ain't really my thang. I'm still waiting for my Bank of New York haha. So hope I can get in there.... or any banks for that matter... Been sending resumes to almost all the banks in S;pore and pulling all the strings I can find haha... Hope something good happens. And all this sudden burst to look for new employment, and give up my Taiwan trip is because, Boss i leaving SICC!!!

Since late Dec and beginning Jan I have been actively sending out emails liao, even before Boss tendered resignation. But there havent been much reply until he announce his resignation haha. So I take that as a sign! Anyhow, if Boss's leaving, means will have to work with Margaret... A bit tough la. Margaret and boss's thinking's a bit weird. And it would be more difficult to take leave for my interviews, which only give u like 3 days of notice, since the dept will be short-handed. And don't know how long the management will take to employ another new boss. So, more motivated to move off! Furthermore, there's word from the top management that any projects that delay would result the vendor or the staff to be axed. And well, I am involved in a project and in a high risk postion basically. So rather then waiting for the axe to come down, I might as well move on. The job market's looking up too. So many interesting jobs from the Big firms! Hope I benefit from it!

New colleague was in yesterday. Apparently he's taiwanese, but I think he's been here long time even though his accent is still there. So far he seems ok and knows what he is doing. Just wondering if he will stay long lo. Especially if geek add salt and vinegar to the weird and ridiculous stories he's telling everyone. Sometimes I really think he's just a loser. Someone who just keeps complaining, and not trying to make changes. Blaming everybody and everythng else for things happening to him. ARGHH!! Another reason to leave to. Can't believe how he will be like when Boss is not ard sia. Boss's last day is end of the month so I making best effort to hand him the R letter before then so mebbe i can cut down on the notice period I have to serve heh heh...

A from MArcom has tendered her resignation too! Well, her boss is terrible la so even though she don't have another job we support her to leave. And that would pretty much leave Chris on her own.. Hope she finds something too... Or mebbe the next boss will be quite good.

Its the season of resigning! Hahaha..

Other then being busy with job search, learning cookies making, I'm taking my GRE too!! Haizz.. Been studying for the test on my own cos i don;t think the class will ever start. Am memorising the list of words, and increasing my vocabulary... Only on the 2nd list, and there are 4 standard list. And another 4 that are more advanced. Not evern sure I can finish the basic four. Shall just do my best.. Rather worried about the analytic portion. Shall have to see my performance that day. Hope the results can get me an interview in the Masters Programme....

Well, with so many things, gym has been put off for quite a while. After the 1 time going with K, I havent been going to the gym haha. Been busy trying to cramp words into my head haha. After tues, I will go.

Later going to colour my hair! Been sometime since I last coloured it. Have changed my hairstylist from the auntie at my house downstairs to Supercuts Cineleisure after she spoilt my hair in the last last rebond... Sighzz.. Fortunately Supercuts managed to salvage it a bit. So I may keep going back until they spoil my hair somehow or when I am too broke. Its quite ex I feel.. but the cutting is really not bad. Can see the difference in skill. Still, its all about the money.

I also completed my project for my professional diploma in .Net. But scared to submit leh.. I think the program's really easy and well, not too good la. But at least it seems that everything is workign properly and should be able to pass la... Or well, its actually up to the instructor lo... And I'm not sure if he will wan to pass my program... At least something is done. If I can pass that, then things will be alot better. At least something's done.

And another step to adult life, will be buying insurance from NTUC income for this hospitalization thingy. Its really good, and I would recommend alot of pple to buy it. Even Steffan is buying for himself and his parents after hearing the agent talk about it. He happened to be at my place when the agent came for this talk la. He's a rather long time fren of my dad's too I think. I'm having plans to buy endownment plans etc etc... So I really need a higher pay. And a more challenging job. That hopefully can prevent my skills from being rusty.

Having plans to do lasik too. Went to the optician and my degree went up to a rather high level sia! So decided I shall do lasik once I have the money. getting less expensive now, and I can save alot on contact lenses and solution! But I will really have to take care of my eyes after that. But its a nice 2nd chance!

Abother 1hr 30 to knock off. Shall call my dad to meet for lunch. Gonna be a half day for Monday, and exams on Tues! Bank of New York, please call soon!!

Wow, time flies and we're in the year 2007 now. The many many long weekends really have an effect on me sia. Feeling really sian at work.. Trying real hard to keep myself awake cos last nite not enough slp some more.. Yawnzz.. Can hardly keep my eyes open sia. Can't wait for lunch to come so that I can slp for some time.

My lunch Khakis are on leave for the next 2 days I guess. So today's lunch will be Bonjour bread ba. Tml's the same. so tml I will have have to buy soemthing more filling to eat for lunch as well.

As usual, I am slacking in office doing nothing much. Suppose to finish up o my Diploma, but seems like I'm really not in the mood to do it. can't wait for lunch time to come so I can start napping. Yawnzz...

Anyhow, the long weekends so far have been great! Sadly, it will be a rather long while before another public holiday comes along.. sigh.. But looking forward to the New Year! hope I get my better pay and better job soon!
