TOday stayed back in office a bit later cos I missed the 530 bus. ANd I ended up in waiting like 15 mins for the bus, and its was really crowded. WHen I boarded, I stood next to where the driver was. THis means I shouldn't knock off at 6 liao. Muahaha..

Tml got program liao. So will leave at 530 heh heh. B4 they let me sign anything, I shall continue to leave at 530 haha.

Got the colleague who's marked in the office together with Angelina the other IA student. C's getting the bomb shell frm G... He jus keeps pushing her to do stuff. Even Angelina could tell he just plainly do not like her... THe way she behaves when G is ard is also very different. I wonder how long more can she take it... Now that she is directly under his supervision, I think her life is jus going to get worse. And the best part, I know the reason! Muahaha.. Some one told me la. So I know the cause of all this hatred. Just that both of them dun noe I know about their problem. And I'm gonna keep it that way.

I wan watch FANTASTIC FOUR!!! I like this type of movies heh.. Shall make a date with Steffan to go watch it! It opens on 7th July.. Not sure if will have time to watch or not. Watching it on weekends is very expensive.. But if the review is good, mebbe can consider heh..

Waiting for my confirmation to convert to perm heh.. Tml got meeting. I think its time i start wadding in the shit with all the others..

Oh well, now I'm waiting for confirmation of my application. Everyone says since its the boss who wants it shouldn't have any problem. Den again, you never know so I jus wait ba.

Feeling VERY tired nowadays. Wonder why. Took a long nap after I got home today. But still feel tired now. Haha think the lazy bugs are growing in my bones again haha. Now super broke. Cant wait to collect my pay. Got alot of things to buy...

Collected my gown liao!

Haha went to collect my grad gown today. Dad drove me to school to collect it heh heh.. The whole process is pretty cool! And felt really happy about it hee...

Had some new furniture come into the house. So have to pack my stuff, and had alot of stuff to throw away but now everything's alot neater liao. But still havent clear out my wardrobe yet haha. And that's the BIGGEST headache for me haha.

Will be needing new clothes for work so have to more or less change my wardrobe and stuff liao. N this is not good when I am going broke and have to spend money...

Will have to get a suit lo. Cos need a jacket for work... G2000 is having some tempting offer. Can get a striped blouse at 50%, and they give u a matching skirt or pants free. But it all adds up to a bit less den $140. Den have to get new shoes also la. Have to cover toes and heel one. N GSS is ending soon liao.. Oh well, mebbe money will drop from sky hahaha...

Well, just got the e-newsletter from the national heritage board or something like that. Anyway, so I'm updated about the latest happenings in the local museum. And they have the Vatican exhibition now!! And they also have the Gandhara Buddhist Sculptures from Pakistan exhibition! Vatican is at ACM Empress Place while Gandhara Buddhist's at ACM Armenian Street. I wan go see I wan go see!! Anyone wanna ask me to go? Heehee... Or I shall pull Steffan to go with me this weekend. Ha get arty fartsy! If anyone's interested den let me know early! Or we can all go together. Gandhara Buddhist exhibition is ending early July. So have to go fast liao.

Well, decided to take the job afterall.. Later shall tell boss. Its rather decent money la I should say heee.. :) Shall ask for more since they have more rules den outside haha. Den again also cannot go overboard.

Now I'm deciding on a new christian name I can use for work. The fight's between Stefanie and Catherine. Haha... If u're wondering why I'm choosing between these 2 names, its cos I jus like the sound of it lo. No special reason one. Jus like the way its being pronounced hahaha... Wanted to use Steffan one. But unless you see the way its spelt, it sounds rather masculine. So better stick to obviously feminine name since my chinese name is masculine enough.

Ok back to work for me liao. Have soemthing due next week and I not even sure if I can finish it on time. So if you are reading my blog jus tell me which name is better k? Haha.. Cheers!

Am I looking for the easy way out?

Boss is giving me a chance to reconsider the offer. N i think I can easily get a rather neat deal... ARGH!! Should I do it for the money or not. N its not really totally the money as well la. THe thing that I am suppose to do will also look very good on my credentials in further.

Mayb I shall jus close my eyes and go head first into it. Feeling a bit sian that I have to start looking for a job. N i may not find one with the job scope that I'm interested in.

Having mixed feelings now. Have wanted to do an intership after my exams, so that I can secure a job. N now that I'm offered one, I having problems deciding hahaha.. oh well. After I come to a decision tml, that shall be my final decision.

Enough about work liao!

Feeling rather broke now. Jus paid my bills and stuff, and now no money liao. Have to scrimp and save. N that's to eat more with my parents hahaha! And buying cheap bread! At toa payoh's fresh bakery, all items have 30% off after 9pm. And it includes EVERYTHING. Ok, almost everything la. Other den Kaya, anything else in the shop have 30% discount. Even slice cakes, pastry and bread loafs.

Finally started watching my CSI Season 3!!! Happy sia!! Heee.. more CSI for me!!! Just finished the one that showed the gal and the guy who ate the insides of their fren. It was really gross. Of cos, the culprits always end up getting arrested. Then again, the culprits were arrested because the person they ate, had ebola (or however u spell it). Some infection la. ANyway, after eating the person the culprits got infected and that's how CSI managed to get them. But if the deceased did not have such an infectious disease, would they have been arrested? can expect everybody to vomit out their food to check if the organs digested or not?!

Back to my CSI now hee!! :)

Haizz.. Had a chat with boss. Seems like he maybe able to make the newly implemented negative factors go away... And, mebbe I will have a higher price then expected... But den that would mean I have to do more work lo. Its value for money you know..

And, I'll be of Executive level!! Cos I think I have a cert la... Haizz.. But I told him if he is able to make the negative things go away den I would think about it. If not, its definately a no-no haha.. Make him headache to look for another person haha...

Oh well, I have one more day to think. And I'm making progress on my kiosk thing heehee... Feeling better. And Steffan's meeting me for dinner too!! Haha... Yippee!! happy liao...

HR jus decided for me whether to take the job offer or not

Just ended a department meeting with my boss and he told us some SERIOUS news sia. Basically the meeting was to keep us updated as to what went on in the club and stuff like that. Sadly, the gal who got marked is back in our department. I feel so sad for her. Then she will have to suffer in the hands of the boss. then again, that may make her a more efficient worker too.

Anyhow, seems like there is going to be changes to the policies and rules in the club. And THIS was the news that helped me make up my mind. It seems like the GM wants to have new changes. So, he decided to change the attire of the staff!!!

Here are the new guidelines:
1. Attire will HAVE to be Shenton Way standard for ladies especially. (like everybody in Shenton Way dress the same like that)

2. Shoes have to cover the toes and either the heels, or just a strap will do. (I thought it was Shenton Way style?? Dun pple at Shenton Way also wear open toes heels?)

The ultimate was as follows:

3. Ladies with hair that are longer den shoulder length WILL HAVE TO BUN UP their hair!!! No pony tails or braids etc.

This is the worst lo!! Now the only things they are not restricting you is what bag u have to carry, whether u want to put on make up or not, the colours you have to wear. This is even worse den going to school la!!

And another thing, boss told us that managers HAVE to wear Hawaiian shirts!! Which I think its really ridiculous lo. Shouldn't it be the staff wearing Hawaiian shirt and Manager wearing office wear?! Make the Managers look like clown lo! And who will ever believe that someone who wears Hawaiian shirts to work is a Manager?! I only remember seeing some waiters at some bars who wore Hawaiian shirts la. Den like that how to wear tie sia.. Dun noe which idiots' BRIGHT idea was that. Totally doesn't have any form of effect in terms of boosting employee morale lo.

With that little push, I finally made up my mind and came to a conclusion lo. Have to go temple pray to thank the Gods for letting me know early, so I dun fall into the trap. Can you imagine what I would have to go through if I did not noe earlier?! If the news was out like in july I would be SO dead man! And would have regretted GREATLY! Wonder if anyone will quit due to the new implementation.. Maybe its a new way to make pple leave the company.

Well, now that's out of the way, I can continue slack liao hahaha.. And I no need to keep doing OT in hope of ending my IA early haha...

But have to look for job. Oh well, I shall leave that to agencies lo since they seem really good at doing it. My fren's to quite a few interviews within a short period of time. And I could use the time to take a break as well. Ha feel relieved.. Dad will be happier, and I can spend time with my frens heehee.. Mebbe I shall be a full time tutor.. hmm... Oh well, that's for me to ponder on later heehee..

Steffan's laptop is ready for collection today! And he's coming out from camp to collect it heh this means I may b able to meet him for dinner heehee... Today's not bad a day after all.. hee.. was feeling sian all morning cos I was having a tough time deciding to stay or not. Now, everything's clear now! :D the day seems brighter too!

Tml's the deadline

Just came back from dinner. Went to this new place that is said to be selling Hong Kong delicacies. Those legal ones of course.

Missed the first half of CSI darn.. sad.. Wow, even the detectives are looking better haha.. I MUST get my hands on those 4th season discs once they are out sia! Greg seems to be looking better too!! haha.. The cars those CSI drive are very nice too..

Anyway have the kisok deadline set to be end of the month, and boss was telling me about the possible further enhancement I can do to the kiosk IF I stay there. And tml I gotta give the answer liao. When he was telling me about the enhancement, its seems like really alot of fun. And if I can actually deliver it, it would be very rewarding lo. Then again, I won't only have to do those enhancement, but other things as well.. haizz.. but such things cannot let pple decide for me too... Haiya..

TIme to get some new shoes. Have been wearing my heels until my legs are very tired. Mebbe I should get some flats before i even hurt the rest of my body. Tired.. Yawnz.. Waiting for weekends to come, so I can meet Steffan again....

Came home fron Sentosa yesterday to find that the keychain holding my house keys and keys to the office are missing!! DAMN! ANd I have NO idea where I might have dropped it, or if I even dropped it in the first place. Haizz..

My last memory of it was when I used it to open my office door lo. Den I dun noe if I put it in my bag, or did I jus leave it on the table. I remember telling myself that I should put it in my bag so that I won't forget later. But I'm not sure if I told myself that yesterday, or on Friday. Haizz.. Short memory sia! For one thing I dun quite remember opening the portion of the bag where I usually keep my keys. So, the possibility of it dropping out has been reduced a little... I hope..

So my next hope is that my keys are now sitting on top of my table in office.. If its not there, I'll be SOOO dead! Haizz.. How come will like that sia.

Had a rather great Father's Day morning haha. Woke up early and went out. Had a great time! heh heh..

Last nite went for dinner with my parents, my bro and Steffan for an early father's day celebration. Had my fill sia! We ordered like 9 dishes! It was very small dishes la. About 6 pieces per plate, but we really very full lo! So my brother, me and Steffan shared and gave my dad a treat lo. So not too bad la heh..

Steffan's going back to Hendon tml liao. Means he will be there like 24/5, 24hrs for 5 days. Means no meeting him till the weekends! Lucky I'm working so it wouldn't be so bad. And its only for one month. Shall have to lrean to bear with it lo.

Thinking shall do OT during the weekdays, so that I can take some time off heehee.. And, IF I take the offer, I will also have sometime to take a rest lo. Hope I can end my IA early somehow... Having the kiosk thingy due on Monday. Its not done yet lo! Cos the person doing the desgin hasn't finish with all the desgins lo!! Stressed, but dun mind doing OT now lo. Since nothing much to do also. And also can take the time off later so not too bad.

Argh the bugging worrying feeling is getting to me. Been thinking what will happen if I walk into office tml to find that my keys are not on the table!!! Den how??!!! Argh!!! *Panic panic* Shall do other things to distract myself.. Praying hard my keys are in the office!! :(

Another week's over! Another week to the end of my intern. Now here's another problem. I've got till next Wed to decide if I wanna stay there for another 6 months..

Well, boss offered me a rotating 6 months contract, to work for him lo... Now have to think wat to do. And I got until Wed only.

Havent been aggressively looking for a job though, and it seems at SICC, I can learn quite a few new things. I even got the price that I quoted man! Which I thought was very surprising haha.

Anyhow, alot of pple have been telling me to take the job while I look for soemthing else... Which is very tempting lo. But den the environment there is not very friendly.. But if I wont be there for long.. Heh heh.. My colleague says I may be entitled to bonus at the end of the year heh heh.. Provided I stay so long. But if I really can get I dun mind heh.. The position will be rather challenging. And to quote Amy and Lingying, I'll be able to work with anybody after I have worked with my boss!

I jus hope something better comes along the way.. If not before wed, den hopefully some time in Sept or Oct. So it wont be so bad of me to leave even before I start work as a full-time staff. Shall consider more. Shall ask my brother's opinion since he is also in this industry and I'm sure he has a better idea on the opportunities out there.

I still have till Wednesday anyway.

Life's been so routine. Its work, home work home... Haizz.. Then again, isn't that the working life? Time for dinner now. Heh got macoroni and cheese from NTUC. The shape of the macoroni is in the shape of the Rugrats characters very cute, but its like so scary.. Eating those babies. But I now hungry la haha..

Haven't had the time to blog. Have been feeling tired and been doing alot of stuff these few days.
Jus had a small verbal argument with the GM yesterday, and got my boss called into his office haha.

It was a VERY STUPID thing lo. I can't believe the GM is SO free that he got time to do this type of thing. Anyway, here's the scenario.

Got a call to the IT dept from the GM. Since I was the only one in the office, so I answered lo. Said my usual greeting. And he asked for the boss. I said boss's not ard, den he started to raise his voice, saying he din understand my answer. So I repeated myself that boss was not in the office, at the moment. And the next thing, I know he was really raising his voice, saying he dun understand my answer. Further saying isn't it office time den how can boss not be ard. And demanding to know where boss was. I was getting irritated lo. I mean he's just trying to be very difficult and trying to act chim that he does not understand what not around means la. And he jus kept asking me to try giving him another answer.

So finally, I managed to give him the answer he want la. Which is, Boss just stepped out of the office. When he finally shut up, and I could ask him if he would like to leave a msg. And that's when he said he wanted boss in his office immediately.

Wah lau! But den again, my tone wasn't very nice when he started to raise his voice lo. I mean its jus human reflex ma. When pple start to raise their voice, u tend to raise yours too. Den ok la. Boss kena scolded. Wah lau! So this is wat GM does. Raise ur voice at your staff when they dun use the rite words. This is the type of boss I wont trust my career with. Its so obvious he will leave u in the lurch if something were to happen. And this is a small thing only lo. If you wan professional phone etiquette, hire a receptionist for each department la! And some more I'm an intern lo.

Boss said cos GM was in a bad mood originally so when I gave the wrong answer made him even more annoyed. I was like HUH? Everyone else also was like huh u mean cannot use not ard ah.

Den, Angelina, the intern told me another experience of her with the members. I mean if member I can understand lo since they are like the MAIN source of income for the club but u only GM leh. And ur reputation is not that good also lo..

Well, that's a point for me NOT to extend my working time there. One and a half months left now. feeling rather reliefed now. Half way thru my intern liao! Happy heehee...

Haha its Friday again! And now the time is 8.37am. Manager's on annual leave! Started from Thursday, and he will be back on Monday, which is the day Chris and I have to show him something decent for the new kiosk.

Haven't been blogging for some time, and alot of things have happened during this short period. Got my pics taken for my job applications. Found a few jobs I like, but due to the time constriants, have not sent out my resume. Now that I have the photo, I can send them out now! Then again, I have to worry about the interview time and stuff. Decided I may end up going to the agencies instead since it is more convenient, and seems like all the MNCs approach them to look for staff.

My resume's more or less done, now I just have to decide what to do in the near future. My internship's ending soon, and boss actually offered me another 2 months temp to work for him. I think the price is going at $1600 if I'm not wrong. That's about all I've heard. Havent asked him about other things like benefits, and if I can be excused if I have job interviews and stuff.

Price is low, but I dun really mind, since this place is rather near, and I think he wants to involve me into a project! Which is quite cool lo! Den I will have something really good to say in my resume next time. And this may mean I will have a better testimonial from him heh heh. And, if he really starts his temp position, I can work with my frens until August and stuff.. But the pay really very low leh.. Some more its 5.5 days week.. Haizz.. Choices choices.

Now I have like 2 big projects at hand. I think for an intern the project is quite big. Cos now he only has me, the only programmer in the house. And I think the Gm wants to revamp the kiosk layout. So, I bascially have to transfer ALL the codes from the original layout, to the new layout. I guess its jus time consuming, and not difficult. The difficult part is to find an on-screen keyboard, those touch-screen type, to put on some of the pages...

So, if you are a very good programmer, and are reading this, I really need some help here. If possible, can I have some sample codes for those on-screen keyboards? Javascript will be best. VB is fine too... Really need it urgent! The OSK in Wi

And furthermore, Steffan's going back camp on the 20th June, which means less time spent together.. Can only meet on weekends.. If we even can meet.. Shall have to find something to occupy myself during the weekdays.

I'm reading a CSI storybook!! I know its not as good as watching the show on tv, but I'm enjoying the book still, imagining the various characters and how they do their work. Its SO cool! Seems like there is quite a collection of the CSI books. When I've got the time, I shall go look for them and mebbe have my own collection!

Ok, work time. Havent done anything for the past 30mins haha.. Time to figure out the on-screen keyboard.. Sigh..

JUNE!

May's over, and its the beginning of June. It's also the time where I submit my punch card, and take my miserable pay of S$600 bucks, excluding the food I eat at the club.

Well, work has still been rather slack. I actually got a few stuff to do, but have been quite sick of the same things lo. So taking a short break. I've been assigned new things too. Actually its A new thing la. But I'm not sure wat I have to do lo.. I guess I wait till the design pple pass me the thing den I see how I go abt it. Have only one week to do it after the pple send me the designs. Stress sia..

Anyone has any idea how I can make a flash into something that can work like a screensaver? The thing I have now is a kiosk, those touch screen kinda thing. So, if no one touches the screen for a period of time, the flash file I have should appear, until someone decides to use the machine. I just gotta find some code to do it, or change the flash into a screen saver file.. Have been searching online, but I just found products that can do the conversion. No codes.. Sigh.. Need help here. If anyone knows the solution, do leave a comment here please. Help appreciated!

Well, other then that, I think things are still well. Went out with amy and gang earlier on, it was fun! Been some time, and looking forward to having such meetings in future heh..

Spent the earlier part of the day job hunting, reading the papers, online and stuff. Nothing much sadly.. Seems like have to go to recruit agencies for IT jobs. The newspaper's really slow, and seems like the agencies have the bigger MNCs asking them to help them recruit. Oh well.. Jus submit and see how lo.

Feeling very tired everytime. Going to work seems boring.. sigh.. N I'm broke so cant buy things during this GSS, even though I saw some stuff I like.. So have to KIV all those stuff, wait for my pay, clear my debts before I can think of buying anything.. Hope my pay comes soon.
