Late Night in office

Its been a long while since I have OT till so late in office. Found some issues with one of the project I involved in, and well, just want to stay back, solve it, so I can take MC soon. And the project can really meet its deadline. Very near to deadline liaoz.

Now doing the last test....

Haven have time to sort out my Vietnam stuff yet. And got a lot of other things to be uncertain about for the International Competition. And well, boss havent tok to BIG boss about my leave yet.. So I'm not sure how things goes. I haven't chosen my talent. I havent fitted my gowns. I havent hunt or got vague idea for the national costume. So yup. That basically wraps up my worries. Oh, have to add that I will be skipping like 3 lectures and 2 tutorials for my CFA lesson. And I'm lagging behind in my reading. So yup. My studying department is not that good as well. That pretty much wraps up the problems I have now.

So, while I am here alone in office, waiting for the scripts to run, I am updating my blog.


This entry should be about Vietnam. There are many pictures floating around in facebook now. And yes, we had like so many different cameras and we use all the different ones each time that pictures are from all over haha...

Well, on the 11th September 2008, I was at the airport at 6am to depart for Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City. This is my first time to Vietnam! A country which I hear so much about, but have never thought of visiting. I used to have classmates in secondary school who were from Vietnam.

And so, at about 530am, Dad, Mum and I left our house in dad's cab to the airport. I could feel the worry in them. And the shock and surprise. It was afterall very short notice. Anyhow, we reached the airport to meet Cheryl(The Organiser), Karla(Miss Philippines 2008), Jessica(Miss Earth 2007), Alyzza (Cheryl's daughter), Vivien(Project Officer aka my roommate), and Mr Paul Tan(Our Marketing Director aka Papa Tan)!! Genecia was to join us a day later because she had something on.

So, that was where I had first problem! Upon checking in, they found that my air ticket was not fully paid for!! Something about the card that was used for payment was rejected, and the transaction didn't complete! So I had the chance to experience the customer service of JetStarAsia! Well, and there is an additional $30 admin fee if you do any transactions there. So its better to pay online and everything. Anyhow, Cheryl paid for my ticket first. And soon, we were into the check in area!! And we were late! :P Because of all the admin stuff in front. So they were paging for us over the PA system!!! And we had to make a dash for the gate. We got it in time, and was on the 1hr 30mins flight to Vietnam! Yippeee!!!

Oh great, my office just offed the lights. Ok, I gtg for now. Will talk more about the flight and stuff soon!!

Been busy busy busy!

Sorry for the late post. Have been really busy and recently not feeling well to update my blog. I am doing this at work now, while I do other stuff also la. Well, I have no idea where to start, because the past 2 weeks have passed by like a whizz!!

Well, firstly it was the really unexpected win of Miss Earth Singapore!! So yup, my birthday wish did come true!!! Thanks to the blessings from Buddha and all of those who came to support! So yes, now I am sort of collecting back my birthday celebrations even though it is like 2 weeks late haha.. :P

Well, so, the win was on 9th September 2008. It was jsut a wonderful experience. I will like to take this chance to thank all my colleagues and friends who came down to support me! And Steffan for waiting for me, and asking his fren along too heehee.. :) It was so surreal! With me and Carol just standing on stage and waiting for the results! Both of us were so nervous!! And well, it really nice to have Carol side by side with me in this pageant. We went through so much together, and was brought alot closer together during our journey. And I am so proud of ourselves! :) And of myself as well! Where I finally put all what I have learnt from Genecia into use during this pageant. Kacy and Tinah were there too... And feeling so happy for us! It felt really wonderful. And I missed all the other contestants already! It was a sad moment for me, because all of us had so much fun during the compeitition! And I wan to keep the friendship going! Similarly, that night was a mess. We were "chased" by the Arena, because we overrun the time. Then, I was whisked away by Vivien among the confusion, to be interviewed by Razor TV. Then I had to quickly clear the back stage with all my barang barang. And I lost my Best Swimsuit prize.. Die... Haizz.. Oh well, fortunately I still have my sash... That was the other subtitle I won heh heh... It was a pleasant surprise though. :) I don't think I have any pictures of it though.. :P

And during that hectic night, I was informed that I had an opening of Sa Sa to attend to the following morning, and I was to fly off to Vietnam on the 11th September, and only to be back on the 15th September. The opening was great! I had the chance to be interviewed by Ezyhealth, and I will be on its cover for the Nov edition!!! Yeah!! Heehee... :) Must buy must buy ok? :P I will just have to go for a photoshoot on Saturday, so that they can have the pictures for the magazine. :) Heehee... So will be skipping lecture and going for the shoot. But I will be going for makeup on Tues again. :)

So well, that was for Wednesday's opening. And then it was dinner at Cheryl's place, where I was shopping in her wardrobe! Haha.. so that I can borrow dresses for her to wear in Vietnam. There are so many functions and dinners I had to attend to, that need cocktail dresses. Then I had to be at the airport at 6am!! So yes, it was a franctic rush! I left her house about 1am, then went home to pack until 3am!! Thanks to Genecia, who sent me home, and went to Mustafa to help me get stuff I would need. :) She was with me in Vietnam too. And after packing, and slping for 2hrs or so, I was off to Vietnam, not knowing what to expect!! And it was an experience, that I would never forget!! But this, is for another entry. When I have more time! Heehee...

Greetings from Vietnam

Hi everyone!!

I am SO SO excited to type this post, because this is the first time I am writing a post from VIETNAM!!!

And yes, I got my long awaited birthday present!! The crown of Miss Earth Singapore 2008!!!

Hahaha... there is really rally so much so much that have to say about this pageant. And the whole journey has been a wonderful experience.. And winning has been a wonderful experience!!

And here I am in Vietnam, representing Singapore!! Hahaha.. Just very very honoured to be representing SIngapore!!

I'm bunking in with Vivien, the project coordinator. and well, we are both just slack haha.. SHe is still downstairs, somewhere out there, while I am in the room and typing this post heehee.. wah I like the free wifi!! Haha...

Well, today is day 1 of being in Ho Chi Min City. Dad and Mum sent me off from the airport. Pretty cool. Then once we touched down, we had quite alot of activities. We went to the ao dai store, where we get a new ao dai!! Yes, Vietnam's traditional costume!! N I get to keep it!!! ANd there are just so many reporters and pple that just keep taking and taking pictures!! The feeling is jus like being a celebrity! Then after that we had lunch! Buffet style!!! Yum yum, Viet Food! It was at the Majextic Hotel heehee.. And we are staying in the New World Hotel! We just finished a press conference, where the local reporters asked us questions!! Well, I must say I was pretty nervous. It felt like the international stage!! BUt then I guess this is really good practice!! And I'm enjoying myself, and having fun. We are waiting for dinner with the ministers later at about 6pm HCMC time.

I rally want to document alot of things down!! This is truly a life changing experience. This is so so so fun!!

And last night I was still worried about things. And we spent like the whole night at Cheryl's place looking for clothes to wear for today!! N Cheryl has benn SO SO nice to lend me like my whole wardrobe of very nice clothes!! She is such a tasteful lady!! And she is so so so nice!!

Anyway, so yeah, now waiting waiting heehee... The pple in Vietnam are so nice! And we met a few Singaporeans as well. Ok, still have like 4 more days to go, and one more dinner heehee... :) One more dinner before Genecia comes and join us!!

Another dose of my life

Another dose of my daily life.

Its 1 more day to the GRAND FINALS!! And super excited today already!! :P I just want to make sure I can really sleep tonight. I will slp before 12. Hopefully at 11pm the lastest. Will have to start doing my packing so that I am prepared for it.

It's Friday!!

Yeah, the day that I always look forward to!! The weekend is here! Yippee!! And today is the day I will bring my mooncakes home!! :) Can't wait to taste the strawberry and dark chocolate one! Heehee.. :)

Collection is later in the evening... So will be in time to knock off and bring it back heehee... Will collect the first batch and send them off before I collect the batch for my household at about 6pm. Bought alot of the snowskins ones so have to ensure they get home to the fridge safely. :)

Another day closer to the finals! Getting more jittery also haha. Ok ok, to make myself more confident, I shall practice in my heels. Both the old and the new one! In case in case. And bring the spare heels!! Almost couldn't make it for the swimsuit competition, because the gems on my heels dropped and I didn't have spare!! Fortunately I got some super glue to get it back on.

And here I am now, goofing around in office. Things have been quite light. And I want it to stay that way. At least until my finals are over. Concentration and focus is very important! Thinking queen as well. One more event tml, and its full steam ahead to the finals!

This journey has been a long, but very fullfilling one.

A few days agon, s friend of mine asked me, What happens if U don't win? I pondered on the question. Seriously, it didn't really cross my mind the past few times. But, now I have an answer. I want to be able to say, I have already done my best and give my all. This will be the real and perfect answer that I want to give.

Yippee!! Lunch time soon!!! Wonder if we would have bird's nest mooncake for tea time later.. Hmm...

It's Thursday!!

One more day to the long awaited Friday!! This week somehow seems a little long.. and everything seems to pass like a fuzz... Must be the late nights I have been having and so havent been really awake in the day time.

It's a little better today somehow. Not so sure how come. But still slpy la haha.. Must be the work. :P Tml is mooncakes collection day!! Yeah!! Heehee... nice nice heehee... Then I can start eating liaoz!! heehee...
Ok, I will try not to go overboard since I have the competition coming on Tuesday. Dun wan to start looking like a mooncake on stage also la.

Din go for the meetup last night, because I was just too tired. Went home and I knock out after my shower all the way until 11+, where I woke up and so some of my stuff, and slp again at 2am. Now thinking back, should have slept all the way through to the morning. Sure will feel SO much better then I am now.

later got meeting think I will kena arrow again.. Haizz... Oh well. At least I should get my armour ready and get ready...

Ok, Something happened to the previous post and nothing is like being displayed. And I totally couldn't remember what I wrote in my sleepyness yesterday. Feeling better tday now. Not sure is it because i am wearing my crystals today. I mean, I do still get my occassional slowness in opening my eyes.. but then overall better. Maybe getting used to the lack of slp and stuff.

Another day closer to the finals. Counting down to it now heehee.. Its like quite near, then again not very near haha... Yeah but just looking forward to it lo. This week more relaxing and less stressed compared to last week. Alot of rushing ard then to get things done last min. now its better since most of the stuff were done last week already. So I get to have a bit of time to focus on catching up on my studies abit.

Economics is over, and we are now into Financial Statements. The CORE of the level 1 exams. So yup yup, just nice for me to really catch up. Went for lecture last evening, and well, some memory of the financial accounting I did in Uni flooded back a bit la. but not alot also haha.. Have to read up on the study guide which has more details. This evening will do so. Then i should be back on track again. :)

Will have to make an appointment for waxing soon.. and slimming massage haha... Very last minute yes haha.. Tink I will put it to be done on Monday evening ba. So that I will b in time and the effects can be seen on Tues night. :P

Monday Blues...

Argh having like serious lack of sleep syndrome now.... I am falling asleep in the strangest scenarios. I think I would have to stop blinking so that I wont fall aslp... Yes, its that bad!

Okok, managed to tahan until lunch time soon... Argh...

Well, this week is the last lap towards my finals! Very excited about it... And yeah hanging on hanging on! :) looking forward to my belated birthday present. :P hahaha...

Pre-judging was pretty good. Although I think I sounded really nervous, and started sort of eating my words, and speaking really fast. :P Ok ok, room for improvement in the finals. But its rally hard not to panic you know... Still got like 9 days to practice then. Now thinking back, I wondered if I sounded like a nervous hillary giving her speech. Think I was a teeny bit too aggressive. I felt quite agitated actually ha.

This week really feeling alot better, cos its not so packed. More settled I guess. So I can catch up on some of my homework and stuff as well. On my readings especially. And I finally get to go to my lecture in real life. No more videos haha... And there is tutorial this sunday. I can't afford to miss this though. Because its the first one on Financial statements, the most difficult part in CFA as everyone says. So yup yup jiayou for me!!!

Argh still feeling slp even after 4pm.. cham cham... keep awake keep awake!
Today will be catching up on work stuff as well. So OT for me!
Tml is lecture again. Wed will be meeting friends for dinner! Hopefully thursday and friday can keep it as it is. So I can get some rest la. Think I need slp. Tonight sure kong out once I touch the bed.
